Jim Elliott' is a partner in the law firm of Elliott, Blackburn, Barnes & Gooding, P.C. in Valdosta, Georgia. His practice includes state and federal court litigation, employment law, family law, and insurance law. He also serves as a mediator. Jim received his undergraduate degree from Davidson College in 1982 and his law degree from the University of Georgia in 1985. He was previously a partner in the Savannah firm now known as Ellis, Painter, Ratterree &Adams. Jim is a former Chairman of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association's Annual Trial Academy and has served on that association's Board of Directors. |

Jim is a member of Christ Episcopal Church, where he has twice served as Senior Warden of the Vestry. He also serves as Chancellor for the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America Alapaha Area Council and is also a member and past director of the Valdosta North Rotary Club. Jim and his wife, Susan, have three children, Gus, Alex and Carter. |
