Rusty Gunn, a member in the Litigation Section at Martin Snow for over 30 years, has been serving as a Mediator and Arbitrator for over 15 years. The major emphasis of his law practice has been in personal injury, but he is also experienced in commercial litigation and has handled numerous personal injury and wrongful death cases, representing victims of serious accidents. His insurance defense practice includes defense of cases involving automobile accidents, products liability, professional liability (representing doctors, lawyers, dentists, accountants, architects, engineers, and insurance agents), and insurance contract litigation, with special emphasis on coverage and bad faith claims against insurance companies. |

Mr. Gunn has lectured at numerous seminars on various topics related to ADR and insurance defense practice, including premises liability, pre-trial discovery, evidence, and trials. He has been a member of the faculty of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Trial Academy since 1997 and served as chair for 2000 through 2002. Mr. Gunn is certified as a Mediator and Arbitrator by the Georgia Commission on Alternative Dispute Resolution and is managing partner of South Georgia ADR Service (www.southgeorgiaADR.com), offering complete alternative dispute resolution services throughout Georgia. He is also a member of the panel of arbitrators for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia and has extensive experience, both as an advocate and neutral, in all methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Mr. Gunn served on the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Georgia from 1999 through 2005. He is a Master in the W.A. Bootle Inn of Court and is the recipient of the Macon Bar Association's William Augustus Bootle Professionalism Award. He is rated "AV" by Martindale Hubbell and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Georgia Super Lawyers. He is a founding member of the Georgia Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators. |
